There are many tools that can help you achieve success in a nutrition package.

Some of these things are suggested to complete the program fully. Of course, if you’re not interested in calculating certain measurements, you won’t need some of these tools. However, I have found this list of things to be helpful in my weight loss journey and I wanted to share it.

If I had to minimize my purchases and work out at home alone, I would buy:

  • A notebook or something to take notes and journal
  • A body composition scale to track my health journey
  • Storage containers for food prep
  • Food scale
  • Measuring cups and spoons for food prep

Having all of these at home will set you on an excellent path to success for a long time. You can:

  • Track your meal plans and progress
  • Help keep the meal you prepare fresh
  • Ensure you get adequate portions based on weighing food or measuring it out properly
  • Journal about your journey

Health and wellness metric tracking tools

A notebook

A notebook can be incredibly helpful as you begin your journey. It allows you to write down important information for easy reference throughout the course. Once you have filled out the course information in your notebook, you can track your thoughts throughout your journey.

I have found that the more I measure and track the things that matter to me, the more successful I am. A notebook and the morning and evening journals provided in this course will be extremely helpful in assessing and measuring your progress. However, tracking all this information is entirely up to you. I do not want you to feel forced to do it. I understand that tracking and recording can be helpful throughout your journey, especially if you hit a plateau and need to assess your progress.

Body Composition Scale

I recommend weighing yourself weekly, but I only ask that you share your weight with me every other week. I suggest using the Renpho scale because it provides additional important calculations to understand beyond your weight. This scale helps you read your body composition, which is essential throughout your health journey. It allows you to track your lean body mass, body fat percentage, and other crucial metrics for your health.

The Renpho scale provides information on:

  • Weight
  • Body Mass Index (BMI) – a ratio that calculates your health by measuring your weight relative to your height
  • Body fat percentage – the percentage of body fat in pounds relative to your total weight in pounds
  • Fat-free body weight in pounds (lean muscle mass in pounds) – how much your body weighs in total, excluding fat
  • Basal metabolic rate
  • Bone mass in pounds – how much your bones weigh
  • And much more!

Dry measuring cups and spoons

Dry measuring cups and spoons are essential kitchen tools that allow you to measure out precise amounts of ingredients for cooking and meal prep. Measuring cups are particularly useful for measuring dry ingredients like rice, quinoa, and oatmeal, while spoons are perfect for measuring out spices, supplements, and other small quantities of ingredients. Using measuring cups and spoons can help you ensure that you’re sticking to the proper portion sizes for your meal plan and can also help you achieve consistent results when cooking and baking.

I chose the option below because it includes measuring cups, measuring spoons, a leveler, 5 mini-spoons, and a whisk.

Air fryer

I highly recommend investing in an air fryer. It has been one of my best purchases in recent years. I use it for cooking at least once a day. What I love about it is that it cooks my food quickly, allows me to crisp up foods I normally wouldn’t, and lets the grease drip out of my food.

Power smokeless grill

I have recently purchased an indoor smokeless grill, and it has quickly become one of my favorite cooking tools. I love the taste of grilled food and wanted to be able to cook indoors. With my indoor grill, I can now cook burgers, steaks, chicken, and veggies on it regularly, usually every other day. It’s a great addition to my kitchen and cooking routine.
